Hey hey heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! I'm officially back home from my month long trip to Southeast Asia . . . and I got a new SLR camera . . . well, kinda new . . . it's a used CANON 10D . . . and it totally rocks! Looks like it is time for a fresh new start for this whole fashion blogging thing. Clean new layout, a way better camera, a bigger motivation to keep this blog running.
These are a couple of shots that my sister took of me a few days ago on our lazy Sunday afternoon with our new toy. We were both wearing different versions of a braided hairstyle, so we decided to do a photo shoot. I am wearing what many may recall as being the "Lauren Conrad" little side braid. I remember sporting this style all last spring because it was easy and added a little pizazz (did I just say that word?) on days when I just couldn't figure out what to do with my hair. I always feel pretty with a little braid. I think it is time to bring it back again this season. I'm not one to wear a face full of makeup. It's just tinted moisturizer, a little concealer, and a dash of mascara for me. I only own one pot of cream eyeshadow (a soft golden brown), but I love to collect pretty lip shades. I was cleaning out my makeup bag and threw on this purple jewel tone on my lips. Maybelline's Madison Mauve. It's deeply romantic. I think it is my new favorite color. This whole look puts me in the mood to go searching for a secret garden to lounge and read a novel in. All while wearing a white dress, of course.
