Dress - Free People, Socks - Juicy Couture, Shoes - Banana Republic, Purse - vintage Bally

I fell in love with this dress ever since I saw it in a Free People catalog three years ago. When it went on sale at the store I knew I had to snag it. The playful pattern of tiny flowers running along its length brings back nostalgic memories of why I first obsessed over Anna Sui and her folksy rock aesthetic. This delightful frock reminds me of Sui's penchant for exuberant florals in amplified colors and retro seventies cuts. It is a piece that I will never give up because it works in all seasons and I get complements every time I wear it. I've donned it so many times since I first got it that it's about time I posted about it on here! Its pretty jewel tones are like a field of gems ready for the picking, and the small details like the keyhole front and bare back lend a hint of sexiness without showing too much. And since I am experiencing some sort of ankle sock mania, I was so ecstatic to find this purplish pair that was made to be worn with this dress. This outfit represents my colorful fashion outlook this season!

"Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say... women... they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean... you'll know"

- Dreams by Fleetwood Mac (one of my favorite songs)
