Jacket - Crispin & Basilio, Tank - Theory, Skirt - Cotton On, Socks -vintage, Shoes - Steve Madden

This is my interpretation of spring's fresh take on nudes and pastels. This jacket is perfect for the warmer weather that has hit Southern California. It is as light as a feather and its color matches warm, sandy beaches. The draping in the front is soft and feminine which is a pleasant turn from the tougher shapes of fall and winter. I see it as an updated and cropped version of a trench coat, one of spring's hottest pieces (and one that I still do not own), but it is so much easier to throw over an outfit on any given day.

You probably remember this skirt from when I wore it in Malaysia. Nothing is more spring than floral and an electric conglomeration of pastels. Sea foam green and baby pink make the perfect color duo. The colors are edging toward Easter egg status, but I actually like that. And check out my ruffle-ornamented shoes. I think my girly side is really going to bust out of its cage this spring. Thankfully the sun is out and the breeze is warm so I can go without tights!

Song of the day: Hey Now Now by The Cloud Room (its addictive beat makes me want to jump around and dance)
