I am finally back to normal life after my 3-day flash trip to NYC for fashion week. Let's just say those were the three most jam-packed days of my life! Looking back now, it feels like I was there for a month, not just a weekend. These pictures were taken this past Friday, my first official day out and about for NYFW. I didn't have any shows this day, but still I went to Lincoln Center to check out the scene and meet up with friends before heading off to the ModCloth and StyleLikeU parties. We stayed up way past our bedtime socializing and dancing our little hearts out. It was a blast catching up with my California girls Jules and Aimee, and finally getting to meet Claire from De Lune, Delmy from Fashion Bananas, Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage, Nadia from Frou Frou, and Yvan Rodic, you know, the man behind Facehunter. These people know how to have a good time. I'm always down for that. Lots more to show you from my fashion week experience!

I also just wanted to take a moment to remember 9/11. Even during all the chaos of this past weekend, I couldn't help but think back to 10 years ago when that first plane hit the Twin Towers in NYC. I felt chills just thinking about it while I walked the streets of Soho and saw the light shining into the sky in memory of those stolen and affected by the tragedy. All the children who lost their parents. The mothers who lost their husbands. The friends who lost their friends. The lonely hearts who lost their future soul mates. A city shattered by a terrifying act of hatred. I feel so lucky to have been safe that day 10 years ago, as well as to enjoy life with amazing people in the present moment. Living every single day, every hour, every moment to the fullest has never felt more important than right now. Let's just hope that we never have to experience what we experienced 10 years ago ever again.

I'll leave you with that today. I'll be back soon with another fashion week post. Promise.
