Silk Blouse - vintage, Shorts - DIY, Purse - vintage Chanel, Shoes - Seychelles

Hello sweets! Thank goodness it's Friday. I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend of nothingness and use it as a chance to get back to all who comment on here! It's been hard lately because I have been really busy with work and such, but on to another outfit. This silk blouse is one of my recent vintage finds. Its luxurious silky fabric reminds me so much of the classic pieces by ChloƩ, one of my favorite brands. I like when oversized blouses look dressy but feel so relaxed because you can wear them with anything, like my scruffy denim shorts, a sexy bandeau skirt, or a pair of chic trousers. And it's in a wonderful lavender color that's spot on for spring. I got another one similar to this, but in a soft blush pink. I am definitely keeping a lookout for more versatile, timeless blouses in powdery tones.

And since I am trying to teach myself how to play Criminal by Fiona Apple on the piano, I decided to share a little recording from yesterday of myself singing along to a musical track down in my den, which also doubles as my little music room. The quality is kind of crappy because I recorded it with my camera, and it only records 3 minutes, so it got cut off at the end (during my favorite part!). But I just wanted to share this because I love to sing and it defines so much of who I am. When I was in high school, I used do local musical theater and was in a band that my piano teacher set up with some really cool people, and we used to play for local parties. I haven't performed for an audience since then, and I kind of miss it. So, here is a little part of me (you may have to turn up the volume on your computer, and it takes a few seconds to start). Let me know what you think, and I will try to come up with a better version soon. Enjoy!
