After having obsession with electric blue, canary yellow then hot pink & orange this year, I am now loving Viridian green. Green caught my eye on the Golden Globes carpet earlier this year, but what really grabbed my attention was Dolce & Gabanna's slinky mermaid-esque jungle green sequined sheath dress which appeared on the cover of UK Vogue September, and has popped up all over the place ever since. There is something so alive about green. My Uncle adores birds and has an amazing array of aviaries. He has the most beautiful colored Rozella parrots - the intense shade of green of their plumage is so striking, a colour like nothing I've ever seen. from J.Lo's famous Jungle Dress by Versace to Keira Knightley's much-coveted bias-cut dress in Atonement, to Kurt Geiger and Gucci's emerald-hued Fall 2011 adds, jungle green has long been an inspiration for designers.

I'm partial to striking green eyeshadow too, particularly with a fuchsia or red lip, and red hair. Not a look for a shrinking violet...
