BritWeek Honors Matthew Williamson

Hello peeps! Last night I attended BritWeek's Fashion Awards at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles. The event honored Matthew Williamson as BritWeek Designer of the Year. Best of all, there was a fashion show and I got to see all his amazing designs up close and personal! My sister Natalie walked in the show in the most stunning purple gown. I wish I got a better shot of it! (Must look for more pics online). I did get a good shot of her from behind as she was about to exit the runway. Williamson's collection was vibrant and sparkling, fulfilling my every feminine whimsy. I even snapped a pic of the designer when he accepted his award, and boy is he cute! The event also paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen and showcased a few of his past looks, including some that never hit the runway. The pieces shown were unbelievably beautiful and the models had bee nests of cotton candy pink hair that was like something out of a dream. It was a wonderful night hosted by GENLUX Magazine and benefited the Dress For Success program that helps those in need enter the workforce. Today I celebrated Mother's Day in the desert city of Palm Springs. The last time I've been there I was only a baby. It ended up being a relaxing day of soaking up the sun. Spent the evening shopping with my mom at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets . . . they seriously have everything here . . . Prada . . . Gucci . . . Salvatore Ferragamo. I was salivating, but I didn't get anything, which is actually a good thing. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day with your moms, too!
