Dress - vintage, Purse - vintage Chanel, Shoes - Pour La Victoire

Now that summer is officially here, throwing on a pretty dress just seems like the best option. And yes, I am wearing another floral dress. I really cannot get enough of them! This one belonged to my mom. It used to be longer and had full sleeves, but I did a little hemming and now it suits me just fine. I think it is interesting because the colors are more muted and earth-toned, with roses in an unexpected hue of rusty brown. Because of this, I see it transitioning effortlessly into fall and winter with a black blazer or cozy wool cardigan thrown over. But for right now, I will wear it as it is with my favorite purse (can you see that the twist closure broke off? I use Velcro now to keep it closed. hehe). This outfit makes me feel very feminine, which for me is a feeling quite hard to achieve during the summer months when I rely mostly on shorts and loosely fitted shirts to keep cool. But this dress makes getting dressed up a snap. Thank you all my little floral dresses for making my life just a tad easier once in a while!

The title of this post is a quote is from the author Stephen King. I've actually never read any of his works, but I've heard this quote before and think it is quite beautiful. And obviously, I want to go to France very, very badly!

Plus, new articles up at LVCMag.com here, here, and here. Also check out The Fashion Spot to see more of my articles.

And the winner of the vintage linen dress from Paint a Dress vintage is Lisa from the lovely blog Lisa's Likes. I am happy she won because I have always been a fan of the photography on her blog. Plus, she has insanely cute style ! Congrats Lisa!
