Just a couple of snapshots that I took during a lunchtime stroll in Malibu. I just loved all the brightly painted buildings around the area. So cute! It was a beautiful day that needs to be repeated soon!

And check out this summer mood board created by the team over at Free People. Doesn't it just make you want to frolic in the woods feeling the grass between your toes and the wind streaming through your fingers? I have been an avid Free People shopper for many years now, and many of my favorite pieces are from their store. Their delicate dresses, nature-inspired prints, and flowing fabrics are everything that I look for to fulfill my whimsical bohemian desires. And make sure to visit the Free People blog. It covers everything - fashion, photography, art, music, and even office style snapshots. It's so much fun and full of inspiration.

Okay, a few other things . . . check out Q&A on CovertCandy. Visit this website now because it provides such an awesome opportunity to swap and exchange the clothes you have with other users. Build a network here and held drive forward sustainable fashion, which is what I am all about!

And now onto a sadder note. Michael Jackson died exactly one year ago. I remember exactly the time and place I was when I found out. I was in Oahu, Hawaii enjoying the water and sun, but the world just seemed to stop when I heard the news of his death. It seemed impossible. It seemed like a slap in the face. I couldn't believe it. Every single memory I had of the King of Pop flashed through in my head, and I thought how could such an amazing person be gone just like that? There was still so much he could and needed to do in both his personal life and his public career. Right now, on VH1 they are playing all his music videos and I cannot help but watch because Michael Jackson has been one of my number 1 musical influences in life. I learned to dance to his music. I wanted to sing because of his music. I want to BE because of his music. I am always having the time of my life when I am listening to a little Michael Jackson. My adoration of MJ can go on and on, but I will just stop and say Thank You Michael for putting your heart and soul into your music and doing what you love most. Your music has been life-changing, barrier-breaking, fashion-influencing, and imagination-sustaining. You have touched all dimensions of my life. R.I.P Michael Jackson. I will remember you through your music always and forever, and I know a gazillion more people will be doing so, as well.

Have a beautiful and musically abundant Friday :)
