Crochet Top - thrifted vintage, Shorts - Citizens of Humanity DIY, Bikini Top - GAP, Shoes -Nine West, Cuff - from Malaysia
This is what I sported when I went out to watch fireworks on 4th of July. I spent all day painting the red brick path in front of my house, and when I was done I just threw this on over my bathing suit top. It's so sixties and so summer music festival. I could just chill in this top all day. And it provides me with extreme ventilation, so it's all good. A casual outfit like this with strong details makes the ultimate summer getup. The only thing that made the 4th of July less than perfect was that a car accident took place at the location where we were watching fireworks. Many spectators were lined up against the curb right before the finale of the show started when two cars collided at the corner and one of the cars turned onto its side and ran right into the crowd until it was stopped by a pole. About 7 people and small children were hurt, but sadly one woman was hit directly by the car and died instantly. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and everyone affected by the accident. Something so horrifying as this to happen on such a day of celebration is unexpected and extremely tragic. I didn't witness the accident, but just knowing that it happened less than a block away from us is heart-wrenching. I feel so grateful that my family and I were safe at the time and it makes me appreciate my life even more, as well as the fact that I am still surrounded by those that love me every single day. Live everyday to the fullest because you never now what is around the corner.
