Sheer Shirt Dress - DKNY, Purse - Jigsaw, Shoes - Via Spiga
I wore this outfit this past Sunday when I went to go watch the 2010 All That Skate LA show at The Staples Center. I grew up watching ice skating on TV, and it was such an amazing experience watching all my favorite ice skaters live and up close. So much fun! Michelle Kwan and recent Olympic gold medalist Yuna Kim from Korea were both there. Two graceful beauties. But my favorites were Johnny Weir and his tribute to Lady Gaga, as well as Swiss-man Stephane Lambiel who had the most personality on the ice as well as extremely good looks! My sister and I literally swooned when he came up close to the audience so we could all see his cute face. He totally stole the show.
Back to the outfit. Kept things simple and clean, which I have been doing a lot lately. All blacks, creams, and lots of sheer monochromatic fabrics for me at the moment. It must be all the gloomy, rainy weather we are having right now that is affecting my minimalistic choice in clothing. I picked up these black leather Via Spiga shoes on sale a few weeks ago at Bloomingdales and they fit right in with all the simple things that I am favoring so much. They are too comfortable for words and I never want to take them off. Double points for matching with everything in my closet. Thank goodness for chic flat shoes like these. A girl cannot live in heels 24/7 (even though I have my eye on two pairs of wedges that I just must have in my closet). I threw on a beige wool cardigan over this dress inside the show because it was pretty chilly (obviously, it was an ice show). Good thing I brought one along because by the time the show was over, the weather did a 360 and it felt like winter outside. But I am so happy that fall is finally here!
