I am perpetually inspired by the J. Crew catalogs that come out every month. The brand's signature boy meets girl / preppy meets edgy look and genius layering techniques always push me to dig back into my closet to find new ways to mix and match pieces that I've never tried together before. J. Crew is also known for their kitschy use of accessories, from layered bib necklaces to stacked bracelets. I, too, made use of my bits and bobs from Shopthelook.net around my neck, wrist, and finger. Playing dress up is so much fun! Also, I am working my favorite detailing at the moment - the peek of a collar from underneath a sweater. It instantly takes things from Plain Jane to eclectic.
I finally saw The Social Network today. It was a really great movie with never a dull moment. Jesse Eisenberg is definitely one of my favorite actors and has been ever since I saw him in The Squid and the Whale. But in The Social Network I really leaned towards the character of Eduardo. He didn't seem as hard or tense as Zuckerberg. And the actor who played him, Andrew Garfield, is really cute, as well as British! I applaud his display of emotion in the movie. Must make sure to check out his other work, like his role in Never Let Me Go with Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightly. The trailor gives me shivers, but I haven't gotten around to seeing it yet. What movies are you looking forward to seeing?
