Turban - courtesty of Modcloth, Cashmere Sweater - Bebe, Silk Skirt - vintage from Ramona West, Wedge Booties - Kate Spade
I am slowly easing my way back into hats this season, and I am all about everything from round bowler toppers to elegant turbans, like this one that I picked up from Modcloth. I was quite unsure about the turban working on me because I have such a round head, but I ended up really digging the look. It adds a graceful luxuriousness to my outfit that turns back the clock to the style icons of Hollywood's Golden Age like Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Crawford. The turban definitely turns heads on the street, especially in my suburban town, but that's why they are so much fun. As long as you feel comfortable in something, then the opinions of everybody else don't matter. They just wish they had the guts to pull it off the way you do! I kept the rest of my look quite simple, falling back on my current obsession with the maxi skirt again. And finally my search for the perfect pair of black wedge booties is over! This Kate Spade pair is so versatile and chic. I just have to slip them on (they have an elastic ankle) and go. I really really love them. And thank you Bebe for the cashmere top. If you would like, you can vote for my look by commenting on the Bebe Facebook page here.
And if you want to get to know a little bit more about me, check out my interview on Fashiolista here, a website where you can showcase your personal style with others by saving and sharing your favorite shopping finds from all over the Internet. It really is a fun site! Go see for yourself!
Also, thanks so, so much to all of you who commented and left such kind feedback on my video that I posted yesterday!! I am happy to be able to share one of my greatest passions with you all. It's an amazing feeling :)
