A Little Bit More Mustard, Please

Wool Blazer - vintage, Lace Tank - Forever 21, Jeans - J Brand, Purse - Melie Bianco, Silk Scarf - vintage, Shoes - from Crossroads

Usually the color yellow makes me feel nauseous, but give me a shot of deep mustard and it's as if yellow has been my BFF the whole time. I think I started going gaga for mustard yellow ever since I spotted Kirsten Dunst in her mustard over the knee socks a few years ago. Too freaking cool. There is just something so retro about mustard yellow. I don't know what it is, but it reminds me of the 70's. The seventies totally rocked. As if the mustard yellow wasn't enough, I just had to add an extra blast of color with my red Melie Bianco purse decorated with a vintage silk scarf I found lying around. Melie Bianco purses are quickly becoming my new obsession. This brand has an amazing collection of faux leather bags in what seems like a limitless amount of fun designs so that there is something for every taste out there. And best of all, they look and feel like real leather. It's like getting the real thing without the guilt. Oh, yes, the jeans. And the holes. Let's just say these are really old and yes I have worn them A LOT. The holes definitely make the jeans.

And check out my little feature on STYLE STALKER here! Thanks so much Songya for the feature!

In other news, I really want to see Disney's new animated film Tangled. It looks too cute, and I think the leading man is even cuter than Captain John Smith from Pocahontas. Though I am not sure anything can top the good old Disney classics. The Little Mermaid is and always will be my favorite. I'm already singing Part of Your World in my head right this second.

And Happy Veterans Day! May we all look forward to peace and prosperity all over the world.
