I am constantly finding inspiration from so many different places and from so many different things. Sometimes it is hard to keep track of everything that influences my sense of style or mood, and sometimes I don't even realize that something has inspired me until after the fact. Currently I am lusting over romantically soft fabrics and the decadent sparkle of sequins and beads. I think I need to infuse more of a fairy-like aesthetic into my life. Dainty, airy, and light. It all sounds and looks so pretty in my head. My beat-up boots and lived in leather jacket are seeking a gentler touch so as to feel refreshed and new. I am a super casual Cali girl at heart, but I like to feel like I'm living in a fairytale at times.
Other pictures that I like and that remind me of this season. Snow covered nature, a hot drink on a busy day, Audrey Hepburn's timelessness, Christmas cookies, golden bows, and red polka dots against saturated red.
Sometimes all it takes is a conglomeration of beautiful sounds to inspire me on a whim, like this genius composition by Cinematic Orchestra. It is called Arrival of the Birds. Many of you may find this song familiar, as it is also featured in one of my favorite fragrance commercials: Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani. This song is pure bliss. Every time I hear it I imagine running across a green mountain top glowing with shattered light, with nothing at all holding me back and only the presence of fresh air gliding against my face with every step I take. I think this music goes perfectly with how I am feeling right now, as well as the mood of this post. Enjoy, and keep dreaming, becoming inspired, and inspiring others.
