Electric Blue Feel

Top - City of Dolls, Skirt - H&M, Hat - Volcom, Bag - Melie Bianco, Shoes - ModCloth

I wanted to be casual, but I was still also craving some color. It is so funny that I threw on this electric blue top that I had hiding in the back of my closet, because I hardly ever wear blue (other than on jeans) . . . so it was something kind of different for me. Now I am pretty much obsessed with this hue. It's shocking in a good way! I've been humming Electric Feel by MGMT all week. Totally feeling groovy, man.

My hair is a little different right now. I was feeling blah blah about my hair on Thursday, so I asked my sister to take the scissors and cut off about 3" just for kicks. I made her just go for it and do that first cut quickly because I didn't want to change my mind. She actually did quite a good job for someone who has only had experience trimming her own bangs with baby scissors. My hair feels so nice with all those nasty, dead ends off. The look is simpler now, but I like it that way. Then Friday turned out to be color day . . . and I dyed my hair a dark dark fudge brown to get rid of the highlights I had leftover from my summer and tropical vacations of the past. It turned out much darker than expected, nearly black, but I really like it! New season . . . new hair . . . life is looking good. You shall see it soon . . . maybe in a while because I still have two outfit posts to show you pre-hair change.

It is raining like crazy today, and the forecast says rain all week up north! What perfect timing for the little road trip my friend and I are taking up to Norcal today. We're still going because we've been planning this for weeks, so hopefully the weather gods will be kind to us this time and give us a bigger break from the rain than expected.

Happy Sunday!
