Miraculous Monterey

Trench Coat - Storets, Sweater - H&M, Scarf - Forever 21, Jeans - Sold Design Lab, Boots - vintage

Finally, I am back home from my trip to Northern California with my lovely friend Shamime! We had the most amazing time. We visited Monterey, Sacramento (where my friend lives right now), and then San Francisco. Weather.com predicted rain for the entire week, but we got super lucky and all the days that we went sightseeing and exploring we got beautiful weather! Monterey was our first stop and we were there for two days. I have never been before, have always heard about how beautiful it was nature-wise, and knew that I had to see it. We stayed at a really cute Victorian-style hotel near the marina and pier, pigged out on Indian and Lebanese food (gosh, I cannot believe I ate two whole plates plus pita!), hunted for seas glass and seashells, and took in the breathtaking views of the Monterey Bay from the 17-mile scenic route that started at Pacific Grove and ended at Carmel. Now, let me tell you . . . the homes up along this route are drop dead gorgeous. It's like Beverly Hills, but a thousand times better because it's on a mountain full of beautiful nature, endless trees, and the most gorgeous ocean view I have ever seen. The beauty of this place was truly unreal. And the air was so fresh and the waves were so dramatic! I was hypnotized by everything around me. It really was a time to remember. I realize now that I am such an outdoorsy girl at heart! One of my favorite views was of the Lone Cypress, a tree that has stood on its jagged cliff for the past 250 years. The tree's history along with the nearby storm clouds floating above (but keeping at a safe distance) made for an impressive and magical sight. When I've made my fortune, I'm totally retiring in this place.

And finally, you can see my darker hair. The ends of my hair turned out darker than expected (almost black), and I am still not sure that I really like it. What do you think? HELP!

Oh, and does this STORETS trench coat rock or what?
