"If you're going to San Fransisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair"

Trench Coat - Storets, Shirt - Splendid, Jeans - Sold Design Lab, Boots - vintage

No I didn't actually wear flowers in my hair when I visited San Fransisco with my dear friend Shamime when we visited recently, but I sure did have a great time (and I wore neon pink)! There's just something about that city that's so alive yet so chill at the same time. I wish I could have spent more time there, but we tried to fit in the best of the city in our flash 1.5 day trip. Our first day there, we did some shopping on Haight Street. There was so much good vintage stuff, but it was a little pricey, so sadly I left empty-handed. I did get a chic little crochet top from Thrift Town though earlier in the day (show ya later)! It was raining pretty hard that day, so no pictures, but Haight Street is wonderfully cool-looking. We met up with our old UCLA friend Michael that night and had dinner at a lovely little Italian restaurant at Belden Place called Cafe Tiramisu (the pesto pasta there is divine) and then he took us out for some drinks at some local bars. I was totally gone by my second drink. One thing for certain is that I am a very funny and even sometimes mean drunk. I will say anything and everything, and my boy radar turns on like it is nobody's business. It was a fun night!

The next day we made sure to see Fisherman's Wharf, the Crookedest Street at Lombard, and Union Square (which was so nice for me because it reminded me of a little NYC). I've been to all of these places before, but I was 16 the last time I was in San Fran, so it was all quite new to me again. One of my favorite parts was towards the end of trip, when we visited the breathtaking China Beach and watched the surfers trying to catch some waves. It was here that we ran into a local man from Russia in a very (and I mean very) small speedo who started up a conversation with us about body surfing as his drug of choice. But, of course, Shamime and I were very much distracted by said speedo and the way he was basically flaunting (and nearly thrusting) it like no other. When I am with Shamime, I can always be sure to run into characters everywhere we go! From here, we went on to take in the gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge on a cliff near the water that we spotted. Photo opportunity we could not turn down! It was beautiful and invigorating. All I can say is . . . I love San Francisco!

And here is one of my favorite songs to remember my time there by!
