How was your weekend? I spent mine in NYC, and even though it was humid and hot to the max, it was still a lot of fun! Walked through Central Park in a light rain, found a bad-ass Malaysian restaurant in Chinatown, had our destinies laid out for us by a lovely little man on the street at night, relaxed in an air-conditioned Barnes and Nobles with magazines and books by Jhumpa Lahiri, stimulated our eyes at the MET, and made our tummies full with hamburgers and fries from Shake Shack. Oh, and just to let you know, the Trader Joe's near Union Square is full of super amazing looking men doing their grocery shopping. Weekends are the best!
These images were taken a few weeks back, during a wonderfully slow weekend right here in Philly. Bonnie and I had a picnic in the park. We shared my favorite Vietnamese lemongrass tofu sandwich and snacked on cherries and celery sticks with hummus. It was the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday. Yes, indeed.
