Ecoya Home Fragrance & Skincare arrives in London

Nurtured and crafted on the shores of Botany Bay, an area known since the 18th Century for its rich source of botanicals, Ecoya Luxury Home Fragrance and Skincare has arrived in London.
Ecoya's a natural based brand that you will be hearing lots more about since it hits Liberty and Harrods this week. It seems only fitting that a niche brand such as Ecoya finds a home in the midst of London's

Chutzpah's Weekly Barometer

A light hearted look back over the past week’s good, bad and indifferent including the “don’t even go there’s”.
LOVING Dolce & Gabbana's Limited Edition Ruby Collection  Released in time for Christmas and so beautiful it hurts, it's just what every vintage crazy girl needs in her handbag.  Another stunning release from Signors Dolce & Gabbana that highlights their attention to detail. The fiery

Dolce and Gabbana's Rich Jewel like palette for Autumn '11

So, in this unprecedented heatwave that we're having in the UK in October with two days already at 29 and 30 degrees respectively, my thoughts (unnaturally) turn to Autumn make-up. I should pre-warn all readers and I make no apologies, hailing from 'up North' and being blue/white in skin tone, my preference is for Wintery snowy days, fires, tingling hands thawing and the countdown to Christmas.

Dolce & Gabbana launch New Creamy Foundation and Passion Duo Lipsticks

I love when one of my favourite brands adds to their already sizable collection.  I make no apologies for being a Dolce & Gabbana make-up fan - the matte yet conditioning shades, the high pigmentation colour, the glamorous packaging....it all adds up to sexy, workable make-up.

And, while I love the original powder foundation compact in the soft biscuity natural shade, D&G have added to their

Celebrity Big Brother (Channel 5) - Even though we don't know who more than half of them are, the term 'celebrity' is more than dubious and just who can understand what Kerry, Tara and Paddy are rambling on about in their slurred conversations?

Fendi releases Fan di Fendi with luxe taste at London's Whisky Mist

There are just some brands that reek of luxe whenever the name is mentioned and typically, Fendi, is one of those rare breeds.  Karl Lagerfeld's design prowess is still prevalent at the brand where he takes it to the max in terms of refinement and style alongside co-collaborator Silvia Venturini Fendi.

With the the rich growing richer, ironically during a recession, Millward Brown's latest

BAARTMANS AND SIEGEL AUTUMN/WINTER 2011

Whilst the southern half of the country has enjoyed unseasonal temperatures throughout most of May, spare a thought for us in The Grim North™ where the weather has been decidedly schizophrenic.  At times it has felt that Summer might never actually arrive, the entire region falling through a wormhole and arriving at a bleak midwinter.
The inclement weather has led me to glance through the Autumn

Something of the Night about Miss Pucci Intense

There's something of the night about this fragrance.  Usually this statement infers a dark brooding underbelly and a soupcon of malintent, which isn't far from it.  The beauty is in the bewildering mix of absolute femininity with full-on sensuality.
This fragrance swirls around the wearer like a rich silk, deep purple-black, Pucci swirl scarf, beguiling and bewitching with its heavy sense of

Couturier Elie Saab launches Le Parfum

It is said that Elie Saab is a couture magician.  He doesn’t just make spectacular dresses, he makes women’s dreams come true; he brings to life the universal childhood dream of being a princess among women -  whether she is a bride on her wedding day, a princess at a gala event, or a celebrity on the red carpet.  Made to shine and make women stand out, his dresses are intended for exceptional

Dolce & Gabbana's Italian Summertime '11 Collection.

Scarlett Johansson breathes sexiness into Summer with the launch of Dolce and Gabbana's Italian Summertime Collection of breathtaking colours.
Dolce and Gabbana celebrate the languid light of Summer's shimmering awakening with bold Mediterranean hues and shimmering pale through to bold lips.  This is a collection of extreme contrasts.  "We were very much inspired by the ideas behind the Summer '

Gucci Guilty for Men is launched

It's finally here and who should we have as the face of Gucci Guilty for Men but Chris Evans.   No, dur.  Not the Radio 2 DJ but the fabulously gorgeous new lead in 'Captain America'.  Good choice.

The fragrance itself is as smoothly rugged and charming as Evans (pictured in the adv above and also below).  It glistens with the promise of exciting the pheromones.  Rounded and masculine, it

Fancy longer lashes? A review of M2 Lashes by M2 Beaute

A few months ago, I was tempted to a lunch meeting at La Durree, Harrods by the ever lovely beauty PR. At this stage, I thought, so far, so macaroons and champagne. The added bonus treat would be the gleaning of information about a new rave beauty product which I was promised and one can also do with new rave products in one’s life.

I was introduced to M2 Lashes by M2 Beaute, a company founded

Clive Christian launches 'C'

Follow my blog with bloglovinFor those of you hiding in the wood shed who don't know who Clive Christian is, he is the designer stubble and black polo neck wearing British designer and parfumier responsible for making the world's most expensive perfume. Clive Christian No. 1 is priced at whopping £415 for a 50ml spray but if you want one pure ounce of perfume (30ml), that will set you back £2700

Tom Ford's White Musks

Follow my blog with bloglovinStill fascinated by the depth and imagination of Patrick’s Suskind’s 1985 novel ‘Perfume’ (set in 18th Century France), I don’t know why, but I rather imagined Tom Ford’s collection of musks to be a lot more true, heavy and gritty than they actually are. Gone in my imagination is the leathery sweat of days gone by musk, visceral and brewing masked with expensive oris,

Pucker Up. It's Red Lipstick Day at Harrods

Follow my blog with bloglovin My mother calls red lipstick her red badge of courage. Before giving birth to each of her five children, glamorous and steadfast to the last she insisted on smearing 'her red badge of courage' on her lips so she could be suitably attired. The love of bright red lipstick is something I've inherited. If left on a desert island, my glam weapon of choice would be a smear

Porcelain vamps

It may come as a shock to some people out there but there are some vintage types of the pale and interesting variety, at best screen goddesses and at worst, throwback goths, who do not greet the first rays of an expected scorcher of a Summer with delight. It throws us into blind panic. How do you keep a sexy 40's or '50's screen siren style with ensuing beads of sweat, over powdered face and

The Age of Fashion Consent

You may probably be aware of the current hot debate in the fashion world that can be deconstructed as follows: bloggers versus fashion establishment. The power is shifting and thus unstabilising a great many as unbridled enthusiasm and quite often, hype, is traded and preferred to fashion editors with informed opinions but botoxed inexpressive faces of scorn. The new fashion vigilantes are
