She made my heart beat in a now-now time signature

wearing SOLARA SWIMWEAR Malachite High Waist, Melanite Monokini & RAYBAN Aviators

My summer seems to be a series of survival challenges. The tropical storm last weekend proved to be a bit of a tough one to get through, health wise. On Friday we started our yearly "Boracay Bound" - an event sponsored to the nines, attended by celebs and supermodels, who get down and dirty and so silly things like run down the beach tied to each other and then pull all-night-intoxication-acts, only to wake up much to early and do it all over again the next day. This year, I played for the same team again, Team Seair led by my friend Marc Nelson of course, my second year in a row playing on his team.. what happens when you mix two people as competitive as us? Lots of shouting (Marc) and cussing (Dane). Whatta team!

In the finals we were joined by my girl Sandra Seifert, who is also one half of the design team behind the brand new swimsuit line SOLARA, her other half being none other than the gorgeous, and newly married Maggie Wilson-Consunji. I was lucky enough to model for their first two shows, and got to choose two pairs to keep. I'm mad about the high waist bikini, which hides all sorts of tummy issues, and the monokini is a classic piece. Get yours at www.solaraswimwear.com.

One of our prizes for winning 1st (again!) was a pair of RayBan sunglasses.. I was lucky enough to get the pair I really wanted; the classic Aviator. Definitely worth the obstacle course in the heat and then playing volleyball and ultimate Frisbee in the rain.. also almost worth my persistent colds! Photos from the awarding night fashion show hopefully in the next post!

He kissed her cheek, but with a knife in his hand he plunged it in deep

Them Atelier - basics, men & womens jeans at its finest. Lookbook by Eliot Lee Hazel.

My usual sarcastically cheery self is going on vacation momentarily, I have been trying to figure out for days how I can write a piece that doesn't show my grief, but to no avail. I am going through something right now that I cannot put into words - it is private, painful and something I was not prepared to feel anytime soon. Sometimes we think we have it all figured out, we think we know what we want and how to get it and are distracted by what we feel the universe wants from us.. and then we are thrown a curve ball, and our world as we know it, shatters before our very eyes and falls into a million tiny little pieces. Heartbreak in any form is devastating, and feels like the end of the world. Naturally, we try to deal with it by sleeping it off, drowning it in liquor or causing physical pain to ourselves, all in the hopes of distraction, but when we come out of the trance, the pain is still there, often stronger than ever, and unbearably vivid. I am expert on emotional pain, I have a lifetime pass for the roller coaster of self-destruction. I get on the ride unwillingly, but I am a slave to my thoughts. I curl myself up in a ball and refuse to look down, but as the ride jumps from high to low, I cant help but feel sick to my stomach. Maybe I will heal this time, maybe I wont, maybe I will love again, maybe I wont.. but what I really need right now is to believe in myself and love myself alone. Because sometimes, when we are in love, we forget the most essential thing in life. To love the only person we know will stick around for us until the end of time - ourselves.

Boys who like girls to be boys who do boys like theyr'e girls who do girls like they're boys

I'm absolutely infatuated with the tees, the polka dots, the drop crotches and the denim jumper.

Flowers bloom in desolate places

wearing thrifted dress, RenegadeLovers studded waist belt, DIY studded bag from SM dept. store & SoulePhenomenon wedges

What a way to start this year's high-heel-wearing but by starting it with these killer wedges. Sometime last year, still dizzy from my Gareth Pugh cravings and with no thousands of dollars to spend, I opted to confess my undying attraction for them to Nicole from SoulePhenomenon so she could make my dreams come true. And that she did. Expect every outfit shot with these to be taken from the side because only then can you really appreciate the black and white goodness of these.. and they are sky high, so vertigo should be expected. And because I am so graceful on heels (insert sarcasm here), I wore them backstage for a little bit, with iron bits and pieces sticking out of the floor, ready to plunge me to my death. But since I had already managed to stub my toe on one of them things, while I was still in my havaianas, I figured, I didn't have much else to lose..

The show was yet another amazing flurry of panicked yelling, shoving, pulling, tugging, zipping, buttoning, tucking, grabbing and what not.. it was like 25 minutes of heaven and hell, and nothing compares to it. Once we were done, the mood had gone back to relaxed, cocktails and appetizers were enjoyed and I was ready to head home for an amazing steak dinner, followed by some tunes by Mandalay and then topping the night off with the Ali G movie. Seriously, out of all three of Sacha Baron Cohen's characters, I think Ali G has got to be my favorite still.

Big shout out to Dexter Alazas of Stylefirm. x

DIY ~ Alexander Wang SweatjeanJumpsuit

I knew right away when I saw the new collection, that some of the pieces could be very easily recreated. This piece was my favorite and therefore became my next project. I had a pair of baggy light wash Calvin Klein men's jeans which I wore once and never again, and I desperately wanted to turn the jeans into some sick high waisted jeans anyway, so it was perfect. I got just enough denim from the baggy legs to put together some straps and two larger pieces for the front and the back, added a stud on each strap and Voila! Alexander Wang in no time.

Also, some iron on transfer paper arrived in the mail, which possessed me to crop one of my favorite plain white tees and add a peace sign print to it. All in all a very successful DIY, phew!

Sexy!
